In 1979, the industrial wood finishing system for rattan and wooden furniture was still very undeveloped in Indonesia.

DR. HENDRA ADIDARMA DIPL. CHEMIKER, was challenged to develop a finishing system which would meet the market demand and improve the technology level.
He establishes a small paint factory with only 10 staff members and called it PD. Propan Chemicals. During the early periods, activities of the factory were focused on the development on wood finishing system. Since then a series of innovative products have been developed.


The company, which is later called PT. Propan Raya I.C.C, grew rapidly due to its readiness to meet the growing market demand.
It was a humble beginning which has resulted in a great success.
